PT Mora Jaya Persada Wins New 5G Tower Contract from Telkomsel
PT Mora Jaya Persada has successfully won a contract to build 25 5G BTS towers for Telkomsel in the South Sumatra region, marking a major step for the company in the fifth-generation technology era.
PT Mora Jaya Persada has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by winning a contract to build 25 5G BTS towers for PT Telkomsel in the South Sumatra region. This multi-billion rupiah contract marks the company's strategic step in supporting the acceleration of fifth-generation (5G) technology infrastructure in Indonesia.
Contract Signing
The contract signing took place on November 10, 2024, at Telkomsel's headquarters in Jakarta, attended by the President Director of PT Mora Jaya Persada, Ir. Ahmad Mora Jaya, along with Telkomsel's board of directors. In his remarks, Ir. Ahmad stated that this contract is a testament to Telkomsel's trust in the company's capabilities and track record spanning over a decade.
Project Scope and Specifications
The project covers the construction of greenfield and rooftop tower types spread across several cities and regencies in South Sumatra, including Palembang, Prabumulih, Lubuk Linggau, and Baturaja. All towers will be equipped with special specifications to support 5G equipment requiring greater height and structural strength compared to previous-generation towers.
The technical team of PT Mora Jaya Persada has commenced the site survey and site acquisition process since early November 2024. The engineering design and permitting stages are expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2025, with a target of completing all towers by the end of 2025.
Quality and Safety Standards
To ensure work quality and safety, the company has assigned a dedicated team comprising certified engineers and experienced specialists in telecommunications tower construction. All work will comply with ISO 9001:2015 standards for quality management and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety.
With this new contract, the total projects handled by PT Mora Jaya Persada for Telkomsel reaches more than 150 sites since the partnership began in 2015. This achievement further solidifies the company's position as one of the most trusted telecommunications contractors in Sumatra.
