PT Mora Jaya Persada moved swiftly to distribute humanitarian aid to communities affected by flooding in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The flood, caused by heavy rain for three consecutive days in mid-January 2024, inundated dozens of homes in several sub-districts.

Detailed Aid Distribution

Aid distributed totaling Rp 75 million included: 500 basic food packages, 200 bags of 10kg rice, 100 hygiene kits, 50 sleeping mats, and logistics in the form of packaged clean water. All aid was delivered directly by the PT Mora Jaya Persada volunteer team using the company's operational fleet.

The first phase of aid distribution was carried out on January 20, 2024, to three evacuation points in Muara Enim and Rambang Dangku Districts. The volunteer team consisting of 20 company employees also assisted in the distribution process and documentation of affected residents.

Telecommunications Infrastructure Recovery

In addition to material assistance, PT Mora Jaya Persada also deployed a technical team to help restore telecommunications infrastructure damaged by the flood. The team successfully repaired 3 BTS sites that experienced disruption due to flooding, enabling telecommunications services in the affected area to recover more quickly.

Ir. Ahmad Mora Jaya stated that rapid response to disasters is the company's moral responsibility. "Muara Enim is one of our operational areas. The people there are our neighbors. It is only right that we are there to help when they need us," he said.

Mora Peduli CSR Program

This disaster response program is part of the Mora Peduli CSR pillar, which encompasses four focus areas: natural disaster relief, education and community development, village infrastructure development, and environmental conservation. This year, the company allocated a CSR budget of Rp 500 million for all programs.
