PT Mora Jaya Persada launches an educational scholarship program for high-achieving employees' children from elementary school through university level as a form of appreciation for employee dedication.

Educational Scholarship Program for Employees' Children

PT Mora Jaya Persada launched an educational scholarship program entitled "Mora Cerdas" for high-achieving employees' children. The program provides scholarships for elementary, middle school, high school, and university levels with a total annual budget of Rp 200 million per year.

Fitri Handayani, S.Psi., HRD Manager, explained that this program is a form of the company's appreciation for the dedication of its employees, particularly those serving in the field. "Many of our employees work far from their families to build towers in various remote areas. We hope this scholarship program can help ease the educational burden for their children," she stated.

Recipient Criteria and Selection

Scholarship recipient criteria include: children of permanent employees with a minimum tenure of 2 years, above-average academic achievement (top 10 ranking in school/university), and active participation in extracurricular activities or organizations. Selection is conducted by an independent committee comprising representatives from HRD, the labor union, and academics.

In the program's first year (2024/2025), 30 scholarship recipients were selected from a total of 85 applicants. The breakdown: 12 children at the elementary-middle school level receiving scholarships of Rp 3 million per year each, 10 high school students receiving Rp 5 million per year, and 8 university students receiving Rp 10 million per year.

Mentoring and Internship Program

Beyond financial assistance, the Mora Cerdas program also includes a mentoring program where university-level scholarship recipients receive internship opportunities at PT Mora Jaya Persada during semester breaks. Several positions offered for internships include: engineering assistant, project admin, and IT support.

The scholarship presentation was held during the PT Mora Jaya Persada extended family gathering on August 17, 2024, coinciding with the commemoration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. The event, attended by all employees and their families, was also enlivened with various competitions and entertainment.

Sustainable Commitment

Ir. Ahmad Mora Jaya in his remarks expressed a commitment to continuing this program on a sustainable basis. "The best investment is an investment in education. By supporting the education of our employees' children, we are also contributing to building a quality next generation for the nation," he affirmed.
